In the heat of an Orlando summer, doesn’t a trip to The Alps sound like just the perfect thing?
But then, you wouldn’t want to miss out on all the fun of Disney World, either. So how about the best of both worlds? Let’s visit The Alps by way of the 2025 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival! It’s one of the event’s Festival Marketplace Booths, and we look forward to visiting it every year. We’d love it if you would join us on this trip to The Alps for some Swiss cheese (and maybe even a little more Swiss cheese), and much more!
Menu
The Alps returns with a bona fide Festival favorite: the Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese, which you can enjoy with or without Alpine Ham. The Alps also delivers a new menu item this year with the Kirschwasser Torte.
To drink, guests can choose from the returning Frozen Rosé or the new Stiegl Brewery Goldbräu Austrian Märzen Lager.
Are you ready? Me, too… let’s dig in!
Eats
We know we’re not the only ones excited about the Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese and Alpine Ham! This beloved returning dish is accompanied by baby potatoes, cornichons, and a baguette. (It’s so beloved, in fact, that it typically earns a spot on our Best of the Fest list year after year!)

Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese and Alpine Ham
The cost of the dish with Alpine Ham is $6, but you can also purchase the Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese without ham for $5.50, which still comes with baby potatoes, cornichons, and a baguette.
OK, we’re gonna be honest. We have a feeling this booth experienced some opening day jitters. Happens to us all! We liked the dish, but we’ve liked it a lot more in the past. During our first visit, he booth had some issues with the cheese earlier in the day. In fact, we went back AGAIN later in the day to double-check the quality!
There was a lot of bread, and the bread was good. We liked the potatoes; they were cooked very well (neither too hard nor too soft), and the ham provided a great balance of flavor. We just found the cheese didn’t hit as much as it had before, and it didn’t stand out. The texture was not quite right — like it didn’t melt the way it was supposed to.
That said, this has consistently been a favorite of ours in the past, so we’re not here to say this dish is worth skipping in 2025.
No matter how you order it, this dish is one of the items you can choose if you’re participating in Emile’s Fromage Montage, the Festival’s tasty Cheese Crawl.
For something sweet, the Kirschwasser Torte is new this year. It’s complete with cherry-brandy buttercream, fondant, sugared almonds, and cherry compote, and costs $5.50.
This was absolutely SPECTACULAR. The layers and flavors really melt into each other in a smooth, sweet, and fruity way. It crumbles nicely, but the icing kind of holds it all together. If you’re the kind of person who eats a dessert for the icing, this will NOT disappoint.
Now, on to the drinks!
Drinks
The Frozen Rosé is back again, and you can raise a glass of it for $9.50. This was served chilled, but of course, it’s going to melt FAST in that Florida heat. We thought this had a delightful, smooth taste to it, along with some sweetness that wasn’t too overwhelming.
Beer drinkers can opt for the Stiegl Brewery Goldbräu Austrian Märzen Lager, which is new to the Festival this year. It’s $5.75 for a 6-ounce pour, or $9.75 for a 12-ounce pour. This was fairly strong with a bit of bitterness, but that flavor doesn’t linger very long.
So, where do we stand with this booth?
OVERALL
Both food items have the potential to be on the best of the fest list; we may have just caught the Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese and Alpine Ham on a bad day. We’ll be sure to go back and try it again and see if it hits more the next time. You do need to get the cake the next time you’re in EPCOT!
