Holiday parties at Disney World are already magical, but this year one is letting you in on the fun even earlier.
Disney’s Jollywood Nights is returning for the 2025 holiday season, and while we’re already excited for the music, snacks, and rare characters, there’s a big change coming to the schedule. In 2024, guests with event tickets could step into Disney’s Hollywood Studios starting at 6 PM. This year, you’ll get in 30 minutes earlier — and if you know Disney like I know Disney, that half hour can be gold. Let’s break down what’s new for the 2025 season, including this fresh early-entry perk.
The Early Entry Upgrade
Here’s the headline: Jollywood Nights 2025 ticket holders can now enter Hollywood Studios starting at 5:30 PM. That’s a solid 2 hours before the event officially kicks off at 7:30 PM, giving you extra time to explore, grab snacks, and knock out a ride or two before the party even starts.
If you’ve been to Disney during the holidays, you know how packed schedules can get. Between entertainment, character meet-and-greets, and all the must-try treats, the night can fly by. An extra 30 minutes means you can ease into the evening instead of rushing from the moment the gates open.
In 2024, that early entry started at 6 PM. Thirty minutes might not sound like much on paper, but in the parks, it’s the difference between riding Slinky Dog Dash without a crazy wait or having time to sit down for an early dinner before the event fun begins.
Why This Matters
Jollywood Nights is a separately ticketed event — meaning you don’t need a regular park ticket to get in, just your party ticket. This early entry perk lets you use that ticket for bonus park time without the extra cost of a full-day admission.
And for anyone who’s been to Hollywood Studios, you know that extra time can be clutch. You can get in line for a ride before party-exclusive entertainment even starts, take photos in daylight while the decorations sparkle, or grab your spot for one of the event’s big shows without feeling like you’re sacrificing ride time.
Plus, with the holiday crowd levels, earlier entry can help spread people out a bit, making the first part of the night feel less hectic.
The Rest of the 2025 Fun
That’s not the only update coming to Jollywood Nights this year. Disney is loading up the event with brand-new entertainment and food options. Here’s what’s on the confirmed list for 2025:
- Miguel at Holiday Fiesta en la Calle — now in a brand-new location near Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
- Two new shows: The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure and Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After.
- Specialty menu at Backlot Express Restaurant (Disney says more details are coming soon).
- A new Jollywood Nights merch collection, including a special Spirit Jersey for collectors.
These join returning favorites like Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!, Glisten! (the stunning ice skating show on Hollywood Boulevard), and the Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along at Hyperion Theater. You’ll also still find the jazz lounge at The Hollywood Brown Derby, the lively Latin Street Fair, and the Tower Hotel Courtyard’s “other-worldly soiree.”
Party Details and Dates
Jollywood Nights will run on select nights in November and December 2025:
- November: 8th, 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th, 29th
- December: 1st, 6th, 10th, 13th, 17th, 20th, 22nd
The event lasts from 7:30 PM to 12:30 AM. Thanks to the new perk, ticket holders can now enter Hollywood Studios as early as 5:30 PM.
Tickets will cost between $159 and $199 per person (plus tax), depending on the date. They go on sale for Disney World hotel guests — as well as Swan and Dolphin Hotels and Shades of Green guests — on July 16th. The public sale starts on July 22nd.
How to Make the Most of the Extra 30 Minutes
If you’re paying up to $199 for a single night, you’ll want to squeeze every drop of magic from your ticket. Here’s how you might use that earlier entry:
- Knock out a big ride early: Slinky Dog Dash, Tower of Terror, or Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run can have long waits even during events, so getting one done before 7:30 PM frees up your party time for other activities.
- Get your bearings: Hollywood Studios can feel busier at night with all the lights and entertainment. Arriving earlier lets you scope out the event map, snack locations, and showtimes before the official start.
- Grab event-exclusive snacks early: Holiday treats tend to draw lines as the night goes on. With the earlier entry, you might be able to beat the rush.
- Photos in better light: Holiday decorations look stunning after dark, but some shots really pop with that golden-hour glow. Arriving at 5:30 PM gives you both options.
The Bottom Line
Jollywood Nights already packs in a ton of holiday entertainment, but this year’s early-entry perk makes it even more appealing for guests looking to maximize their night. That extra 30 minutes might mean fewer lines, more shows, and a less rushed pace — all good things when you’re working with a limited party window.
If you’re planning to go, mark those ticket sale dates now and decide which night you’re aiming for. And once you lock in your plans, think about how you’ll use that bonus time to your advantage. Because at Disney, thirty minutes can be the difference between “we missed it” and “we did it all.”
