I go to Disney World every day and I’ve tried dozens of handheld fans attempting to stave off the sun’s blazing rays. But I’ve got to confess I grossly underestimated the power of this tiny Mickey fan!

Mickey fan
When you’re out in the sun every day at Disney World during the hottest months of the year, the heat can be brutal. While I’m partial to a few of the hand held fans I’ve tried before, not one of them impressed me as much as this adorable tiny fan.
You’ve got to try this Mickey Misting Fan!
This is probably the cutest hand fan I’ve ever laid eyes on for the parks! It’s one of the smallest and most convenient fans that I’ve ever taken with me. Its compact size and multiple speed settings make it ideal for everyday or vacation use. My editor will probably never be able to take it away from me now that I’ve had the opportunity to use it myself!
This thing has the BEST features!
It has 3 speeds, and who can resist the charms of a fan with Mickey ears that practically fits in your palm?! It also has nubs that I’ll refer to as “feet” to keep the fan upright without tipping over, and it has a plastic cage around the actual fan part so I don’t have to worry about one of my kids sticking their fingers in it. It’s also rechargeable with its own USB-C charging cord (comes included in the packaging) and lights up red while its being charged to let you know that it’s actively charging.
It’s fairly easy to work, and the back stick rotates down so you can have a longer handle to hold it and work the button for the fan and mister.
The package also comes with a dropper for the water reserve so you have an easier time to fill it, and it’s small enough to take with you if you need to.
There’s just one thing I wasn’t head over heels about it.
The misting feature is cool in theory, but not super practical in practice. When I first heard it was a “misting” fan I figured it was one like what’s sold in the Disney parks where you squirt a jet of water in spurts that gets displaced by the fan blades but nope, this one is a legitimate misting fan.
It creates a small stream of mist from the center ring just under the fan — the drawback with this one is it’s not very strong. In order to feel it you have to have your face very close to the fan (if it’s helpful at all), and hope that the wind’s direction doesn’t steer it away from your face otherwise you’re turning your hand in hopes of staying with the way the breeze is blowing the mist. But, while the water reservoir is small, it seems to be sufficient, because it took several uses to run it out after the first fill up.
Oh yeah, it’s a new park bag essential!
You will absolutely need a fan like this for your trip — at least some sort of hand held fan. Even if you don’t end up using the misting feature, I would highly recommend one that’s small like this. It certainly made my visit to the parks easier and much more enjoyable. Even set to the highest speed settings its battery life still is on the stronger side which scored major brownie points in my book!
