Things feel like they’re always changing around Disneyland Resort, but thankfully, we’re here to check everything out and keep you updated on what’s going on.

Disneyland

We check out all the new attractions, dining options, and everything in between, so when we saw that something interesting had changed at Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, we knew we had to look further into it and let you know ASAP.

There’s a new trash system over at Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, and it’s…well, interesting, to say the least. When you grab your food, you’ll notice there’s a new holder nearby for Food Scrapers. The instructions say to eat and enjoy your food, fill your food scraper with leftover food scraps, then place it in the appropriate bin.

Everything else is the same as normal until you go to throw away your food — that’s when you’ll notice there’s a new trash can that tells you it’s for food only. Specifically, it says fruit, desserts, meat, and food scraps, which is basically everything.

But next to it, you’ll see where to return your scoop. So essentially, you use the scoop to get all the scraps into one place, throw the scraps into this particular trash can, throw your other trash away in the other bins, then return to scoop to the bin beside the trash can.

Interesting

This is a great way to encourage composting and reduce waste, but we can only imagine how long this is going to take some people to get used to, especially if you’re in a rush to move onto your next activity. Just try not to throw the scraper away — we can also see that happening pretty frequently.
