REVIEW: We Tried 4 NEW Disney World Treats so You DON'T Have To (Seriously – We're Doing You a Favor)

We’ve got a Disney World spot for you if you love sweets and treats!

Disney Springs at Disney World has SO many good restaurants, kiosks, and shops with tasty treats. One in particular is literally in the name of the shop, and that’s Goofy’s Candy Co. We recently went there to get not one, not two, not three, but FOUR new treats (yes, we have a sweet tooth)! Check out what we got.

Goofy’s Candy Company has all sorts of candies and confections. You’ll find slushies, candy apples, fudge, gourmet cotton candy, and so much more. The smell inside the shop is worth the visit alone. Be careful bringing your kids in here, they’re going to be asking for EVERYTHING!

Like we said, we couldn’t help ourselves and got four new treats. We’re going to break them down to you, starting with the Orange Cream Fudge Pie and Key Lime Fudge Pie for $6.99 each! When they say fudge pie, they literally mean it. It’s like they took a tiny graham cracker, made some fudge, and then just pressed it into the tiny graham cracker shell.

Unfortunately, these had sort of a weird flavor — they just tasted very artificial. They’re accurate in terms of the description, but just very fake versions of those flavors. Yes, you’re looking at an orange cream fudge treat, but don’t expect fresh Florida oranges here.

They don’t really taste like real pies, either, but we weren’t really expecting that — even though we wanted them to taste a little better than they did. Look at them — they look really cute, and they look like they’d be good!

The texture was very interesting, to say the least. We think we’d like it more with chocolate, or peanut butter fudge, or just a different fudge that isn’t fruit-based. The texture reminded us of the first couple of bites of a stick of gum — chewy and soft.

Next, we tried the Orange Cream S’more and the Key Lime S’more for $6.99 each. They are actually similar to another Disney s’more, the PBJ s’more, from Zuri’s Sweet Shop in Animal Kingdom. These are like regular s’mores on the inside, with a graham cracker and marshmallow. The outside is a white chocolate layering flavored to either orange cream or key lime.

The white chocolate melted extremely fast on the key lime s’more, but not quite as fast on the orange cream one. The flavors felt a little fake on both of the s’mores; you could tell it was a little artificial. It was hard to get past that flavor, to be completely honest. Our best comparison taste-wise would be like Fruity Pebbles.

The graham crackers in both treats were stale, and broke into crumbles when you got into them. The marshmallow itself was also very tough. It was hard to chew and pull apart — it wasn’t stale, just very difficult to eat. We don’t think we’ll be getting these again.

Overall, we thought the treats looked very cute, but we were a little disappointed. If you want GREAT s’mores, go to Zuri’s Sweet Shop at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. For more food reviews, make sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog!
