Flavors of Florida has officially kicked off at Disney Springs — and you don’t even need a park ticket for this food festival!
From June 27th to August 10th, 2025, eateries and restaurants all around Disney Springs are showcasing MORE THAN 90 limited-time dishes and drinks from 45+ restaurants for this event. Not only that, but there are multiple FREE culinary demonstrations hosted by Kroger you can attend — and we’re bringing you along as we experience one!
Flavors of Florida brings TONS of exciting new eats and treats to Disney Springs — and it also brings FREE seminars and culinary demonstrations hosted by Kroger! This demonstration was run by House of Blues Restaurant & Bar. Executive Chef Sebastion Amico and his team demonstrated how to cook Florida Fresh Shrimp Etouffée.
This dish was made with shrimp locally sourced from the Florida Gulf, and a rich sauce is served over rice. Our reporter, who tried this, really enjoyed it, and she wasn’t even a shrimp person, in particular. The shrimp here were cooked nicely and were plump and buttery.
The jasmine rice was nice and well-cooked without being overdone and mushy. The sauce on this dish was excellent — it had a nice Cajun spice, but it was a low heat that wasn’t anything too intense. We really enjoyed this mix of flavors — which is why it’s a good thing that you can get it at the House of Blues all summer long during the Flavors of Florida event!
Keep in mind that these culinary demonstrations are free, but registration is required and can fill up quickly. Click here or on the link below to see the full list and details for this year’s culinary demonstrations hosted by Kroger!
