When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle of the road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well.

We recently stopped by the newly reopened Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar & Grill at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts to check out some new menu items, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here!

Atmosphere

Hurricane Hanna’s is located in the common area of the Stormalong Bay pool at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort, offering delicious poolside entrees, snacks, and a large variety of adult beverages in a relaxing and casual nautical environment.

The only seating here is at the bar or at an outside patio area with umbrellas, since this is a pool bar. You can also take your food and drinks back to your pool chair if you’re staying at one of these hotels!

Keep in mind that only Yacht & Beach Club guests are permitted to swim in Stormalong Bay, but anyone can enjoy a cocktail or food from Hurricane Hanna’s. But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!

Menu

You’ll find a variety of poolside entrees and drinks at Hurricane Hanna’s. When it comes to food options, expect items like grilled chicken sandwiches and burgers, chicken strips, a few salad options, and some more unique items like a seafood roll and loaded crab fries — which is what we’re here to check out!

There’s also an extensive bar menu, with frozen cocktails and some on the rocks, beer, cider, seltzer, and hard iced teas. You can expect classic frozen Disney drinks like the Piña CoLAVA, and the new drink we’re here to try — the Cold Fashioned.

And now, onto the main event — the food!

Eats

On this visit, we grabbed the new Loaded Crab Fries — these are made with crab meat, cheese curds, bacon pieces, and bisque for$11.79. Crab, cheese curds, bacon, and fries?! Sign us UP, y’all. They weren’t kidding when they said these things were loaded, either!

Y’ALL. Hurricane Hanna’s is BACK and not messing around because these Loaded Crab Fries are a HIT. 10 out of 10, no notes. There’s a ton of crab meat on this — way more than we were expecting for the price. The sweetness of the crab meat mixed with the saltiness of the fries was a perfect match — this dish is a seafood lover’s dream.

It’s basically like a seafood poutine thanks to the cheese curds, which were firm but not super squeaky, and the bisque serves as a sort of gravy to bring everything together. We also loved the addition of bacon pieces for a bit of a smoky vibe, and the green onions added a nice zing to break up the richness. We will definitely be stopping by to get these again!

Of course, we had to order a new drink to go with our fries!

Drinks

We ordered the Cold Fashioned, made with Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon, citrus and tea slushy, and Angostura Bitters for $18. This is essentially a frozen tea old-fashioned — which is an excellent option to have when you’re lounging poolside and need something to cool you down.

This was a fun take on an old classic cocktail. It comes with a cherry on top, plus an orange wedge — just like you would expect of a regular old-fashioned. The citrus and tea slushy differentiates it from a regular old-fashioned, and it gives it a bright flavor that pairs really well with the bourbon — especially on a hot day. But, ours did melt quickly — so keep that in mind if you’re thinking about ordering this one!

So, is Hurricane Hanna’s worth a visit?

Nosh or Not

This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…

• You’re staying at Disney’s Yacht or Beach Club Resorts and are looking for quality, quick eats.
• You’re having a pool day at Disney’s Stormalong Bay Pool.
• You’re a fan of loaded fries and seafood.

You should skip this Disney World spot if…

• You’re not staying at Disney’s Yacht or Beach Club and don’t plan on being in the EPCOT area.
• You’re looking for a sit-down meal that’s not entirely outside.
• You want something more unique than burgers, sandwiches, and fries — even though the ones we tried were phenomenal.

Overall

Hurricane Hanna’s did not come to play with these new menu items — and since this restaurant is open until 10, it’s a great spot to stop for some late-night eats after you leave EPCOT. We will be thinking about those crab fries for the foreseeable future and may even need to hurry back to get them immediately. The Cold Fashioned was a fun take on a classic drink that bourbon lovers might get a kick out of, too.
