Test Track has been undergoing a massive refurbishment in EPCOT!

The ride closed on June 17th, 2024, for a massive overhaul. Up to this point, we only know a few details about what to expect when the ride reopens on July 22nd, 2025, and we’ve been waiting for more information. Well, the time has finally come!
At the 2024 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney revealed that the third version of this ride will highlight the past, present, and future in its upcoming design. We know the queue will feature six distinct exhibits that will celebrate vehicles as well as the people behind them who usher in the next chapter in our collective journey.

Imagineers are adding new show scenes that will showcase technological advances and show “how our lifestyles and relationships to mobility connect everyone.” You will take a joy ride through scenes focusing on onboard technology, customization, and personalization, ending with a trip through a scenic outdoor route.

But now, Disney has announced even more details about what we can expect when the ride reopens! The attraction update will debut an all-new musical score, as well as new scenes that highlight technology that makes our cars smarter.
Disney shared that one of the new scenes “showcases how vehicles can use advanced cameras and sensors to ‘see’ the world they drive through,” and that Imagineers were able to represent this technology using 29,000 points of light.

Not only that, but Imagineers took inspiration from the real world (specifically the trees of the Pacific Northwest) and the “pleasure of driving…”

We are coming on 23 July so fab for us ! My daughter got very excited too when she read thunder mountain was opening on 21 June until I pointed out that’s in Paris !! 😂
