Despite online rumors to the contrary, Disney has confirmed that there is no ICE presence at Disneyland Resort via the Orange County Rapid Response Network.
Rumors began making their way through Disney communities on social media over the past few days, amid ongoing ICE raids and clashes between protestors and law enforcement in Los Angeles and throughout the rest of the United States.
The Orange County Rapid Response Network, a nonprofit that aims to respond to immigration enforcement activities and policies in Orange County, shared an update on its Instagram page. In it, the OCRRN said they spoke with Disney’s External Affairs team regarding these rumors, and Disney confirmed there is no ICE presence at Disneyland Resort.
Disney said, “We can confirm that is not the case. We’ve gotten multiple reports throughout the day, but we checked them all and can report that there is no ICE presence at the resort.”
Reports of ICE officials pulling Cast Members over at Disneyland began circulating online, with several people claiming they either saw ICE on Disney property or had heard about it from Cast Member friends and family, who claimed to have witnessed it. No photos or videos of any reported ICE officials at Disneyland have surfaced at this time.
Scott Gustin also confirmed that Disneyland officials reported the online rumors as inaccurate and that business is operating as normal around the resort. The Anaheim Police Department also reported the rumor as false.
Still, there is a heavy ICE presence in the greater Los Angeles area, with protests getting closer to Disneyland in Anaheim. The National Guard is blocking off portions of the roadways close to the Civic Center. The National Guard is mainly located at the Santa Ana Federal Building, which is located about 7 miles away, approximately a 16-minute drive from Disneyland.
If you’re heading to Disneyland soon, keep in mind that the mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, issued a curfew for Downtown Los Angeles. The curfew started on June 10th and lasts from 8 PM to 6 AM. Disneyland Resort is located in Anaheim, California, which is south of Los Angeles. Universal Studios Hollywood, while closer to Los Angeles, is also not part of the curfew zone, but if you’ll be in the area, it could be important to know.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on this to monitor its progress and its impact on Disneyland Resort.
