Hi there. First-time visitor from the UK. Genuine question; do you actually need a magic band if you have Apple Watch? I was going to just use my watch as my magic band by adding a MDE card to my wallet. I’m getting the feeling that may not work if there’s a product which attaches a magic band to an Apple Watch?
Apparently people don’t realize that you can do pretty much everything through the Disney app on the Apple Watch like park passes, lightning lanes, etc. and don’t need a magic band. I haven’t used a magic band for many years because of the watch.
You can use your Apple Watch to do many of the same things you can do with a Magic Band, including entering the parks, accessing Lightning Lane entrances, and linking your PhotoPass photos. You can also use it to pay for food and merchandise. However, the Apple Watch cannot be used to unlock Disney Resort hotel rooms.
