Big things are in store for a fan-favorite Good Neighbor Hotel at Disney World!

The Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels have some of our favorite restaurants and experiences in all of Disney World — and they’re in the process of adding more! From new luxury dining to family gaming, let’s check out all the great things happening at the Swan and Dolphin RIGHT NOW!

First things first — just this month, the Swan and Dolphin opened up the NEW Lagoon Games, Lanes & Eats!

This new family hotspot is an interactive gaming experience AND dining location at the resort, fully equipped with an arcade and a bowling alley.

A high-octane area, you can also grab eats such as the Tornado Potato, Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich, and 7-Layered Chocolate Cake! Lunch is served from 11 AM to 6 PM, while Dinner (which has additional options such as Fried Mozzarella and Tempura Cauliflower Bites) is served from 6 PM to 10 PM.

Speaking of Swan and Dolphin eats, we also learned about the permanent closure of a restaurant and more about what’s replacing it! Unfortunately, Shula’s Steak House is closing for good on June 15th, 2025.

Shula’s Steakhouse

Named after the location’s original owner, football great Don Shula, Shula’s Steakhouse is an upscale hidden gem at the Dolphin and has been open since 1995.

It will be replaced by Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina and the MINA Group, which manages over 40 restaurants worldwide. According to Sean Verney, Area General Manager of the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, “Welcoming Chef Mina to our culinary offerings continues to push us forward in our efforts to provide guests heightened dining experiences.”

The restaurant is set to open mid-summer, so we’re anticipating some construction updates VERY soon!
