The Canada Pavilion at EPCOT has been looking like a construction zone for a while now, with no word from Disney as to what’s going on.
But now, Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a new permit for construction in this pavilion, with Design Communications Ltd. as the contractor.
According to the permit, Disney will be installing new signage somewhere in the pavilion, though it doesn’t get any more specific than that. This could mean that something new is coming to this area, but for now, we’ll have to wait until construction is over to see!
We’ve seen construction walls up in the Canada Pavilion for quite some time, but Disney hasn’t made any official announcements about what might be happening with this project. It looks like we might not find out until everything is all said and done.
The good news is that this won’t really impact your visit to EPCOT, as the Trading Post merchandise store and Le Cellier Steakhouse are both still open during construction. We don’t anticipate construction to last for long. We’ll be keeping an eye on this area for any potential updates!
EPCOT is looking a whole lot different these days. The Festival of the Arts kicks off on January 17th and we can’t WAIT to make our way around the World Showcase trying out all sorts of new and returning eats and treats.
In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for the latest news from Disney World and more. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more announcements and updates!
