Count Down to the New Year With Us With Fireworks in Disney World

Happy New Year, friends! Tonight is the night we say goodbye to 2024 and hello to 2025! Whether you’re hanging out at home with family and friends or going to a big New Year’s Eve soirée, tonight is the night to celebrate with explosive big booms and beautiful colors that track across the night sky.

Of course, the celebratory fireworks are HUGE in Disney World’s EPCOT and Magic Kingdom and this year is no exception. So come join us as we give you a FIRST LOOK at the special fireworks in Magic Kingdom that will help ring in 2025.

Magic Kingdom’s New Year’s Eve fireworks show is called Fantasy in the Sky, and the only time you can see this special fireworks show is on two nights: December 30th and 31st at 6:30PM and 11:50PM each night. Of course, we had to check out this annual show for ourselves — and we’re asking you to come along for the ride. In fact, we decided to celebrate the New Year a little early — and let’s just say we weren’t the only ones. Pro tip: if you want a good spot for the fireworks, you’ll want to get there early!

Once we had our spot locked down, we watched crowds gather around us as we waited for the show to begin.

The show launched into a trademark Disney fireworks display, channeling the best Fantasy in the Sky fireworks displays.

You’ll also be able to catch the New Year’s Eve fireworks in EPCOT, Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration, at 11:54PM on December 31st. So if you planned carefully, you could technically see BOTH Magic Kingdom and EPCOT’s special fireworks shows on different nights.
