UPDATED December 4, 2025
Okay, enough about Disney World, let’s travel over to the West Coast and talk about Disneyland a little bit.
Now, a LOT is going on over at Disneyland, and a lot more will be going on soon. A Coco ride is on the way, as is a whole land devoted to Avatar along with a major expansion to Avengers Campus. Things are going to be BUSY. So if you’re planning a trip to Disneyland in 2025 (like we are), you’ll want to know exactly what will be closed throughout the year, right? Well, we’ve got your back.
So here’s a full list of things that will be closed in Disneyland in 2025…
Disneyland
Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln in the Main Street Opera House closed on April 16th, 2024. A reopening date for the Mr. Lincoln show is not yet known; however, there is something VERY interesting to know about the Main Street Opera House, which houses the attraction.
President Lincoln was the first ever audio-animatronic made by Walt Disney, and now Main Street Opera House is presenting the first-ever audio-animatronic of Walt Disney himself in a brand-new show!
A new show, “Walt Disney — A Magical Life,” made its debut on July 17th, 2025. It shares a space inside the Main Street Opera House (after an initial solo run) with “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.” Ultimately, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln will also return to the Opera House and will be shown in rotation with “Walt Disney — A Magical Life” at a future date, to be announced.

Disney California Adventure
A Disney California Adventure ICON has closed permanently, and we’re still not sure how we fill about it. On the one hand, it’s closing so we can get something NEW is coming to Avengers Campus (TWO new rides), and that’s exciting.
However, in order to make room for the new additions to Avengers Campus, the Red Car Trolley Barn had to close in California Adventure’s backstage area. The last day guests could ride the Red Car Trolley was February 8, 2025.
Stay with us throughout 2025, and we’ll continue to keep you posted on ride refurbishments in Disneyland!

Hi there pretty ladies AJ and the others ;=). Yeah I am devasted if those rides would be still closed Mid-September when already Matterhorn Bobsleds will make me considered to be still closed that time. I am deeply hoping nothing else will be added to the refurbs like Indiana Jones Ride or The Railroad, Mark Twain etc.
Also worried last Year it´s a small world was closed for overlay for Halloween or what it was and it looked like I only will have the chance on the weekend before it may get closed during the week for the overhaul or what the thing was last year were they had closed it during September???? Hope that will not happen again this Year.
Also Radiator Springs if it really just re-opens later than September 18th or even later that would be a crap for me since I am only there til Sept 17th and not riding that Ride will be a huge bummer since I probably will not return to the OG til 2035 for the 80th when hopefully Coco Boat Ride, Avengers Campus additions and Avatar Experience(s) will be open and ready and perhaps some secretive DL Forward unknown rides Shows if they can be fast and build multiple Rides in 10yrs.
Hope Universal doesn´t build up much after Fast And Furious Coaster opens next Year to have all construction sources ready and free for Disney to build up their massive Constructions in the future since most of those should be open til 2029.
I would be sad if the Storybook Canal Boats and the Circus Train wouldn´t be open as well since they are opening attractions and so far the 70th Anniversary looks not as big and huge at it should be when so much stuff even maybe not open on July 17th and further.
I mean I will try to have enough happiness anyways if those are closed still but yeah wondering what else I would could do if those aren´t available maybe more relaxed visit more space doing other stuffs but would be a sad day especially with Radiator Springs having the Land but not the most iconic important ride of DCA Halloween Overhaul at least maybe a option to see that lights and stuff meet characters but not riding the Ride would be sad very sad if that will be.
devastated I meant
