Are you a fan of Disney Cruise Line? We know we are! Shocking, we know.
But, if you haven’t been on a Disney cruise yet (or maybe it’s been a while) now is a great time to consider setting sail. Not only are two new, massive cruise ships on the horizon for Disney, but one of the cruise line’s older ships will be getting a bit of a makeover soon. Disney just announced a ton of updates for one cruise ship and we’re sharing everything we know!
Exciting new upgrades are coming to the Disney Dream cruise ship this fall! The ship has been in Europe this summer getting a bit of a refresh and Disney just announced what we can expect when the Dream arrives at its home port in Fort Lauderdale. Let’s check it all out!
First things first, the Kids Oceaneer Club will have an all-new MARVEL Worldwide Engineering Brigade, or “WEB” for short. Here, kids can “test new suit prototypes for Spider-Man and other heroes and conduct training simulations using WEB technology to fend off enemies from the Workshop.”
Edge, the tween club for ages 11-14, has been moved to Deck 5 and will have access to an outdoor deck with a ball pit and recreational games. Oh, and there will be a club lounge and dance floor as well!
The forward funnel of the Dream will be transformed into the Dream Tower Suite, themed to the classic film, Fantasia and “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.” Disney shared that “this spectacular suite will immerse guests in Sorcerer Mickey’s magic, including celestial-inspired surroundings, carpet design inspired by flowing water, and a chandelier reminiscent of his famous control of the waves.”
And, there will be a new, expanded Concierge Lounge inspired by Disney’s Hercules and Mount Olympus. The lounge will have “light, airy details and rich colors inspired by the clouds of Mount Olympus, with hints of bright gold evoking the gates to the kingdom of the gods.”
The spa will also have a “refreshed check-in area” with new treatment rooms, and Deck 11 will feature a new cantina!
And, in other Disney Cruise Line news, we recently learned that, Disney is changing the all-aboard time on Disney Magic cruises sailing out of Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale this fall from 4:00PM to 3:00PM.
The email read in part, “The All Aboard time for your sailing has recently changed from 4:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. All Guests must be onboard by 3:00 p.m. Guests arriving after 3:00 p.m. or without proper citizenship documentation will be denied boarding.”
