Disney Cruise Line ships just seem to be getting more and more impressive!
Between the immersive dining experiences, exciting entertaining options for adults and kids alike, and everything in between, we’re always looking forward to seeing what a new Disney Cruise Line ship will bring guests. But there’s one thing on some of the ships we’re REALLY needing to see on the newest ship, the Disney Treasure.
Standard staterooms are not very big on Disney Cruise Line (or any cruise, for that matter), and the lights are typically controlled by having your key card inside the light slot. This ensures that you won’t forget the lights are on when you leave the room, wasting electricity.
You can really use any card in there that you’d like, if you don’t want to use your cruise keycard (although we don’t recommend putting a debit/credit card or your ID in there), but bottom line, that’s how you’ll be able to turn on the lights. But when you’re heading to bed, you don’t have to take your card out — just flip off the lights and you’re good to go!
If you’re like some of us though, you have to get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, which can be really hard when it’s pitch black and you don’t want to shine your phone flashlight because you’re in such close proximity with the rest of your group. And then when you’re in the privacy of the bathroom, you don’t want to turn on the BRIGHT light, right? Well some of the recent Disney Cruise Line ships have solved this problem — they installed nightlights in the commode room!
These nightlights are much softer and provide light to see without it being too overwhelming for your eyes at 3AM. And then you don’t need to worry about grabbing your phone to use that light either! We’re really hoping to see these on the Disney Treasure, too, but we won’t get a chance to see for ourselves until we set sail later this year.
