The Island Tower is the latest and greatest addition coming soon to Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows at Walt Disney World Resort. Currently still under construction (pardon their pixie dust if you’re happening by the resort), this tropical treasure is set to welcome guests in December 2024, although the exact debut remains under wraps. Along with this exciting news, we’ve got word of available booking dates that will hold us over as we excitedly anticipate this new extension of the Polynesian Resort’s paradise!
Disney unveiled a first look at the Island Tower on May 10th, 2024, sharing concept art and new details. Inspired by early concept art, this waterside 10-story tower will overlook the breathtaking views of the Seven Seas Lagoon and immerse guests in the celebration of the natural world, and of course, the magic of Disney. The tower will be just a stroll away from the Disney Monorail, providing convenient access to the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.

The Island Tower at Polynesian Villas & Bungalows will bring to fruition the vision crafted by Disney Imagineers decades ago. Teaming up with over a dozen artists worldwide, the interior of the tower will feature design details, including art installations made from preserved moss and recycled fishing nets, that will reflect the resort’s commitment to conservation and the celebration of the vibrant culture of the Polynesian Islands.

In addition, the Island Tower will offer a diverse range of room types that are suitable for two to nine guests. The options available are duo studios, spacious one- and two-bedroom villas, and brand-new two-bedroom penthouse villas. Many of the room types available will also feature spectacular views! Along with this information, Disney has also announced the first dates where guests can book their reservations and for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders, the first day to do so will be June 5th.
