We just got a look at the very first trailer for Mufasa: The Lion King coming soon. We’ve known about this live-action prequel for a while, but we’ve officially got our first look at what the movie will look like. We also just got a video of Cast Members reacting to the trailer for the first time — and we cannot stop smiling. WARNING: if you keep reading, you’ll probably be put in a super good mood.
Disney shared a TikTok that showed “Festival of the Lion King” performers watching the Mufasa trailer for the first time.

The Cast Members’ excitement was CONTAGIOUS as they oohed and ahed at the brand new trailer. Seeing baby Mufasa for the first time is our favorite part!

Mufasa: The Lion King tells the story of Mufasa and his rise to being the king of the Pride Lands. The story is being relayed by Rafiki to Kiara, the daughter of Simba and Nala. The story will be told through flashbacks, beginning with Mufasa as an orphaned cub.

The movie promises an “expansive journey of an extraordinary group of misfits searching for their destiny.” The movie looks like it will be full of action and features a fantastic cast of voice actors. Check out the new trailer below!
