This shopping and dining district is home to table service spots, counter service spots, snack spots, and more, and chances are there’s something for just about everyone in your group here. A new snack has rolled into Disney Springs and we’re trying it out to see whether or not science really has gone too far.

Let’s head on over to B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. at Disney Springs to try the NEW Tennessee Barbecue Dog for $12.79. This bad boy is an all-beef hot dog topped with smoked brisket, Nashville hot pickle slaw, barbecue sauce, and sweet cream sauce on a house-made bun. Okay, you have our attention. Pickle slaw, barbecue sauce, and a sweet cream sauce?

Let’s give this a try!

Okay, well, we have a lot of thoughts here. There was a lot — like too much — going on with this thing. The brisket was tender and rich, but there wasn’t enough of it for it to really impact the hot dog. The slaw was crunchy and had a good amount of real heat if you like spice, but keep it in mind if you don’t.

Tennessee Barbecue Dog

The hot dog was massive and did not taste high quality. Between that and the brisket, there was almost too much meat. It’s difficult to eat because the dog and toppings were bigger than the bun. The sweet cream sauce was downright abhorrent with the other flavors — like melted mayonnaise or ice cream. We really didn’t even taste any barbecue sauce or flavor.

This ain’t it

We think even hot dog aficionados and barbecue fans might have a hard time with this one. There were just too many flavors and a ton of meat in our opinion. But, if you think this sounds appealing — head over to B.B. Wolf’s while it’s still around to try it out!
