Disney Just Announced the DATES for a Major Fan Event in November

Disney’s largest fan event is heading to BRAZIL.

Since its launch in 2009, the event formerly known as the D23 Expo and currently as D23: The Ultimate Fan Event has become one of the most important on Disney’s calendar. The gathering has essentially become Disney’s own personal version of San Diego Comic Con with thousands of fans descending to attend panels on everything from new theme park announcements, upcoming feature films, and even celebrating the company’s iconic Disney Legends. While the main D23 event happens in Anaheim every other year, there are also Destination-D events at Walt Disney World, and there have been several in Japan. Now, D23 is expanding to another nation outside the U.S.

In April of 2024, Disney announced that a brand new D23 event will be debuting in Brazil later this year. D23 Brazil is scheduled for November 8th, 9th, and 10th at the Transamérica Expo Center in São Paulo, Brazil.

According to Disney, “For the first time, this November, Disney will bring the D23 experience to Latin America, where fans can explore the latest from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more at this multi-day event—that will include interactive experiences, exclusive shopping, and entertainment for all ages.”

It’s tough to gauge exactly how much breaking news to expect from the event given that the mothership original D23 is happening less than three months earlier (from August 9th through the 11th in Anaheim). However, give Disney’s track record, wee we expect them to have at least some major surprises set aside for the Brazilian event.
