Bluey’s LONGEST EPISODE EVER Is HERE! RUN to Disney+ Now!

REJOICE, Bluey fans: The Australian phenomenon just released the longest episode in its history.

Bluey first premiered on Australia’s ABC – the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, not the American television network currently owned by Disney – Kids network in 2018. The series follows Bluey (an anthropomorphic Blue Heeler puppy) and her family in Brisbane, Australia. The series has become an international hit thanks to its heart, imaginative sequences, and comedy that’s funny to both children and adults. In June of 2019, Disney acquired the international distribution rights to the series, and began streaming it on Disney+ in all territories excluding Australia, New Zealand and China, but including the U.S.

While production on Bluey’s third — and most recently-produced — series ended in 2022, episodes have been released in increments to keep new material flowing. Which leads us to April 14th, TODAY, when Bluey’s longest episode ever will be released.

The 28-minute-long episode, entitled “The Sign” is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, April 14th. The episode will debut on ABC in Australia first, then will be released to international streaming — including on Disney+ in the U.S. too.

Cecilia Persson, the Managing Director of BBC Kids & Family said of the episode’s airing, “This is going to be an unmissable event for every Bluey fan worldwide and a fantastic springboard into the incredible world of Bluey for those new to the show who’ve yet to experience its pure joy.”

Following “The Sign”, there’s only one confirmed episode of Bluey’s third series left to air. However, given the show’s widespread popularity — and merchandise revenue — we’d think there will be more Bluey sooner rather than later. Stay tuned to DFB for more Bluey news and updates.
