Runners, are you ready? Disney’s just revealed important dates and information you need for the 2025 runDisney Marathon Weekend.

You know we’re all about some runDisney shiny medals and keeping up with the runDisney themes as they’re announced. When we saw Disney had announced dates and pricing AND revealed the themes of each race and challenge for 2025, we knew you needed to know right away!
Disney has just released more information about their upcoming runDisney marathon weekends for 2025, and there’s A LOT you need to know. The Walt Disney World runDisney Marathon weekend will take place from January 8th through the 12th, 2025. In this runDisney weekend event, you can join Mickey Mouse and his pals as Disney continues this decades-long tradition of races all across Disney World. Stops along the way feature whimsical character favorites, musical entertainment, and more.

All four races are announced to return this year with 5K, 10K, half marathon, and full marathon races. 2025 will also mark the 20th anniversary of Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge! Plus, the Dopey Challenge takes you a grand total of 48.6 miles across all four of Disney World’s theme parks. But there’s even more you need to know about each individual race, such as their themes, when you can start to register for the events, and which days they’ll be taking place.

Taking a closer look at the 5K race, you’ll be running like a dog chasing a bone! This event will take place on January 9th, 2025 starting at 5AM. Registration for this event begins as early as April 2nd, 2024 for Club runDisney Gold and Platinum members, and general registration will open on April 9th at 10AM. The cost for this race, if you’re registering before October 7th, 2024, is $112 and $122 for registrations beginning October 8th, 2024, and afterward.

The upcoming 10K race will have you running like a nut! Join our pals Chip ‘n Dale while you complete the 10k race on January 10th, 2025 starting at 5AM. Registration for this event begins as early as April 2nd, 2024 for Club runDisney Gold and Platinum members, and general registration will open on April 9th at 10AM. The cost for this race, if you’re registering before October 7th, 2024, is $155 and $164 for registrations beginning October 8th, 2024, and afterward.

The upcoming half marathon will have you taking a feathered flight with Donald and Daisy Duck! You’ll have the opportunity to complete the 10k race on January 11th, 2025 starting at 5AM. Registration for this event begins as early as April 2nd, 2024 for Club runDisney Gold and Platinum members, and general registration will open on April 9th at 10AM. The cost for this race, if you’re registering before October 7th, 2024, is $224 and $234 for registrations beginning October 8th, 2024, and afterward.

The upcoming marathon race will have you breaking out those retro sweatbands with Mickey and Minnie! The full 26.2-mile race will take place on January 12th, 2025 starting at 5AM. Registration for this event begins as early as April 2nd, 2024 for Club runDisney Gold and Platinum members, and general registration will open on April 9th at 10AM. The cost for this race, if you’re registering before October 7th, 2024, is $226 and $236 for registrations beginning October 8th, 2024, and afterward.

There are also a few challenges you could earn, too! Goofy’s Race and A Half Challenge can be completed by finishing the half marathon and full marathon races between January 11th and 12th, 2025. Completing both of these races will earn you those individual race medals AND this challenge metal for a grand total of 39.3 miles run in Disney World’s parks. Registration for this challenge begins as early as April 2nd, 2024 for Club runDisney Gold and Platinum members, and general registration will open on April 9th at 10AM. The cost for these races as a challenge, if you’re registering before October 7th, 2024, is $442, and $452 for registrations beginning October 8th, 2024, and afterward.

The Dopey Challenge can be earned by completing all of the individual races for the entire 2025 runDisney marathon weekend and will earn you those individual race medals in addition to Goofy’s Race and A Half challenge medal AND this challenge metal, for an astounding total of 48.6 miles in Disney World’s parks. Registration for this challenge begins as early as April 2nd, 2024 for Club runDisney Gold and Platinum members, and general registration will open on April 9th at 10AM. The cost for these races as a challenge, if you’re registering before October 7th, 2024, is $688, and $698 for registrations beginning October 8th, 2024, and afterward.
