Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is opening this summer in Disney World and we can’t wait! We’ve been keeping up with the latest construction changes in Magic Kingdom and waiting for every announcement we can possibly get.
The ride picks up where Disney’s animated film, The Princess and the Frog, left off and will take folks on a Mardi Gras adventure through the Bayou of New Orleans. And, if you’re as excited as we are about it — you can attend a special celebration hosted by Walt Disney Imagineering!
D23: The Official Disney Fan Club and Walt Disney Imagineering are hosting the D23 Down in New Orleans celebration of The Princess and the Frog. Can you believe this movie is 15 years old?! This event is exclusive to D23 Members!
Actor Keith David, who voiced Dr. Facilier in the movie, will be making a special appearance to talk about what it was like to bring this villain to live. In addition, Walt Disney Imagineering will give attendees a sneak peek at what exactly is going on with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
Not only that, but the Director of the Walt Disney Archives, Rebecca Cline, will be giving a presentation on Disney’s history with New Orleans — “from Haunted Mansions to swashbuckling pirates and jazzy gators.” Enjoy a screening of The Princess and the Frog along with a trip to the New Orleans Jazz Museum!
The event is taking place on March 23rd, 2024 in New Orleans, Louisiana and you can book tickets on the D23 website or by clicking this link. Here’s a look at the pricing for the event:
