We have to admit that after taking the Brightline train from Miami to Orlando International Airport, we now think the train is a GAME changer.
For those who live in Florida, it makes getting to Disney World more convenient than driving (and potentially cheaper, too). Well, it seems the train to Orlando is about to get even better because Brightline just expanded its service there…again.
According to The Orlando Business Journal, Brightline has added even more trains along its Miami to Orlando route. There are now 32 total trains making 16 round trips each day from Miami to Orlando International Airport (there were 30 in October, although Brightline only started with 12 when it first launched).
One of the new routes is a 5:50PM departure from Orlando that arrives in Miami at 9:15PM, as well as a Miami departure at 1:45PM that arrives in Orlando at 5:15PM. You can also score some special holiday deals right now on fares, including a $39 smart fare and a $79 premium fare on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. You can also currently book a $39 smart fare and a $99 premium fare for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Since service began to Orlando International Airport in September, Brightline has welcomed over 97,000 passengers through October 31st in its first 40 days of operation. Now that the route has been expanded, that number could go way up.
