It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
That’s right! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has officially begun at Disney World, and of course — we were among the first group of folks to celebrate all things merry and bright in Magic Kingdom on November 9th. We love the Christmas Party for many reasons, from the food and treats to the exclusive merchandise. One of the BEST parts, though, is the ability to meet all sorts of fan-favorite Disney characters as well as special seasonal characters. This year, there’s a NEW meet and greet available, and it’s… Well… It’s something.
So, if you’ve been to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party before, then you probably recognize the larger-than-life toy soldiers that march through Magic Kingdom during the parade.
Well, this year, you can MEET them during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! They greeted us on Market Street as we were headed in for the party.
Well, we use the term “greeted” very loosely. They kind of just… stared at us. And stomped their feet a little. We are equal parts enthralled and terrified of this new addition. The blank stare…
Well, if you want to meet them, too, just be on the lookout as you’re entering the party on Market Street. You know, the walkway they open up behind Tony’s Town Square? The soldiers seem to be a big hit this year, as they’re the star of the show on the complimentary ornament that you’ll be given along with your wrist band at this year’s event. Check it out!
Well, we’ll continue to keep you updated if we run into anything else that’s new or terrifying. Or terrifyingly new. Or newly terrifying. Follow along for more!
