Hey McDonald’s, PLEASE Just Tell Us What This Mysterious Announcement MEANS!

McDonald’s marketing department is at it again.

After the cryptic chaos that was the Big Mac sauce drop announcement and the extremely unsettling Grimace shake campaign, we thought we had seen it all. But McDonald’s is acting strange again — and this time we think a certain God of Mischief may be involved!

Hey McDonald’s, you okay? Your social media appears to be acting up again. We can’t help but feel like you’re trying to tell us something, and we think we know what it might be. It all started with a post that said “no spoilers” and included a video showing various pop culture references to McDonald’s over the years.

But, something caught our eye at the end there — did you see it? There was a brief flash of a scene we hadn’t seen before — and it looks like our favorite variant may be involved. It’s Loki at a retro McDonald’s counter!

The video ended with a date: August 14th, 2023 — so we’re thinking we’ll get some sort of news on what this is all about on that day. McDonald’s then shared a list of movies and TV shows that it has been featured in, and what’s at the very end of that list? Loki Season 2!

Further down in the threads, McDonald’s indicates that more clues could be coming tomorrow, so we’re probably in for another round of cryptic messaging from the marketing team. Is it weird if we’re low-key kind of excited about it? Even the official Loki account replied and is getting in on the fun!
