If you’re a fan of movies and spending evenings at the theater, you’re in luck!
With TONS of Disney films in the works, it seems like perfect timing that a revamped version of MoviePass is arriving ahead of the Memorial Day Weekend. The service is arriving under new ownership after the past owners filed for bankruptcy, and with the new ownership comes some new structuring. Let’s check it out!
In the past, this theater subscription allowed movie lovers access to thousands of theaters across the country for only $9.95 per month, with one movie allowed per day. Now, plans start at $10 a month for 1-3 movies per month and range up to $40 a month for 30 movies a month, which averages one per day.
You can purchase your MoviePass and see which theaters are included by clicking here. Basically, members can attend movies at any theater that accepts Mastercard.
“By opening up MoviePass to film lovers nationwide, we are expanding our support of the movie theater industry by helping drive traffic to all theaters during the critical summer season,” Stacy Spikes, MoviePass CEO, said. “Our newly designed service offers our members greater choice and flexibility for how they use their monthly credits, while continuing to encourage them to watch movies in theaters.”
Previously, MoviePass was only available to those on a waitlist during a beta period in locations including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, and Tampa Bay. Now, though, it’s available to everyone!
So, will you be headed to the theaters this summer with MoviePass? We’ll continue to keep you updated on all Disney news, including entertainment, so make sure to follow along for more!
