Cast Members Test Disney's NEW 'Frozen' Ride

Frozen Ever After in Disney World

Well, THREE Disney Parks are actually getting new Frozen-themed lands, including Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. That park, though, has almost completed one of the rides in its “World of Frozen” and Imagineers and Cast Members got to be among the first people to check out the ride.

World of Frozen in Hong Kong Disneyland will feature a ride called Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs — and it’s a roller coaster! Hong Kong Disneyland guests “will be able to embark on a scenic ride designed and built by Wandering Oaken himself.” The sleighs will be powered by Olaf and Sven as “they’re working together to pull the sleighs to the top of the lift hill.” How fun!

Recently, Imagineers and Cast Members got to be among the first to ride and test Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs. Disney posted a video of the experience, and it looks like so much fun!

World of Frozen is the largest expansion EVER for Hong Kong Disneyland. It will feature the kingdom of Arendelle with two rides, including this one plus Frozen Ever After (which can also be found at EPCOT in Disney World). There will also be Frozen-themed shops and a quick-service restaurant.

Disney has previously released a video that combined concept art and models to show what the fully finished World of Frozen will look like. World of Frozen is set to open in the second half of 2023.

Two other Disney Parks are also getting Frozen-themed lands. Frozen Kingdom is being constructed at Tokyo DisneySea at Tokyo Disneyland Resort, while the Kingdom of Arendelle will be coming to Walt Disney Studios at Disneyland Paris Resort.
