SNEAK PEEK: See Brandy Play Cinderella Again (!!!) In New Disney Movie

Okay, so EVERYONE has a favorite Cinderella movie, right?

Of course, there’s the original animated classic from 1950. Then there’s the live-action movie from 2015 starring Lily James. There was even a live-action version of Cinderella on Amazon just recently. But some of us have fond memories of growing up watching Brandy and Paolo Montalban in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella in 1997, and we may or may not have been watching it again on Disney+. Well, we’ve got some BIG news for fans of Brandy’s Cinderella…

Both Brandy and Paolo Montalban are RETURNING to their roles as Cinderella and Prince Charming in a new movie! Insert excited squealing right here. The two will pair up once more in the new Descendents movie.

The NEW film is called Descendants: The Rise of Red and will follow Chloe, the daughter of Cinderella, and Red, the daughter of the Queen of Hearts. They’re an unlikely couple who meet during a celebration in Auradon just before chaos breaks out. The two will have to travel back in time to find a magical pocket watch created by the Mad Hatter’s son. Chloe’s mom, Cinderella, will be played by Brandy, and her father will be portrayed by Montalban.

More importantly, though, we have a first look at Brandy and Montalban returning to the Cinderella and Prince Charming roles — and we can’t even!

The film will feature several previous Descendants actors returning to their roles. However, Disney has not yet shared a release date for the new film, but we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for it, so we can all mark our calendars for the big event. We can’t wait!
