If you’re seeking an island getaway filled with fresh, coastal flavors, keep reading! Just warning you, though — you’ll want to take a trip to Morocco afterwards. The good news is that you can get pretty close by visiting La Isla Fresca between France and Morocco in EPCOT.

2023 La Isla Fresca Booth
The 2023 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival has officially begun and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, unique topiaries to check out, merchandise to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. But don’t let it overwhelm you, we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to La Isla Fresca to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out!
Menu
Over at La Isla Fresca, you’ll find a variety of new and returning items. This booth has been a huge hit for us in the past, so we’re excited to try even more things here!
Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!

If you stop between France and Morocco, you’ll find La Isla Fresca! ⭐️ On this menu are the NEW: Braised Oxtail with Pigeon Pea Rice, and Sugar Cane Shrimp Skewer! pic.twitter.com/8koB5OFtue

First up, we tried out the Braised Oxtail with Pigeon Pea Rice for $7.75. This is a new item that we haven’t tried before! So, what did it taste like?
Well, this dish was VERY salty. The oxtail is fatty in some areas, and a little bit spicy (it crept up on us!). This is a good choice for those who appreciate heavily seasoned food, but if you prefer more mild flavors this may be too much for you.
Next, we grabbed the Sugar Cane Shrimp Skewer with BEN’S ORIGINAL Long Grain White Rice, mango salsa, and coconut-lime sauce! The skewer was $7.25.
This snack was also new! The skewer had a much better balance between the salt and other flavors. The rice was pretty basic, but it suited the bolder flavors of the shrimp and salsa. The shrimp itself tasted fresh while the mango salsa added lightness as well as a bit of sweetness!
For the last food item, we had a dessert that we’ve tried before! That’s right, the Coconut Tres Leches returns! This vanilla cake is soaked in oat, almond, AND coconut milk with toasted coconut, and you can buy one for yourself for $4.75.
We tried this last year, and it ended up being one of our favorite desserts of the festival. The cake is light and moist, and the coconut flavor is there, but not overwhelming.

Coconut Tres Leches
This year it was just as good although more coconut-y than before. Keep that in mind if you don’t like coconut!
Drinks
In terms of drinks on this menu, we got the Tropical Breeze, which is returning! You can grab this drink for $4.50.
We remember this drink being super refreshing when we got it last year! It consists of lemonade, grapefruit juice, and simple syrup. You can even add rum! (The alcohol version is $11.) This drink is sweet and delicious, with the perfect amount of tartness from the lemonade.
For wine lovers, there is also a Tropical Perception White Sangria from Florida Orange Groves Winery. You can purchase a glass for $11. If you love Key Lime Pie, try out the Islamorada Beer Company’s Coconut Key Lime Ale! A 6oz glass is $5.50 and a 12 oz glass is $9.50.
Overall
This booth is usually a huge hit for us, and this year it still brought some delicious options. We recommend this booth to anyone seeking tropical flavors or anyone who has a sweet tooth! This booth definitely satisfies both those things for us. Not to mention, the drinks are super refreshing!
