We Ate Ice Cream Covered in PERFUME in Disney World

Salt & Straw is one of the newest food locations in Disney World and they’re serving up all kinds of fun and wacky ice cream!

Pink Rose and Watermelon Sorbet

They have your standard chocolate and vanilla, but they also have Fried Chicken and Deviled Egg and Strawberry Honey Balsamic with Black Pepper. Salt & Straw is known for being a bit daring, and they swap out flavors a lot, but we may have just found one of their most daring flavors yet!

This is the Sea Salt and Caramel Ribbons with a Cloud of Cocoa Perfume. Yes, you read that right — perfume.

Perfume for our…ice cream?

You can’t *see* the perfume obviously, but we promise it’s there! According to Salt & Straw, ice cream doesn’t actually have a scent. So, they partnered up with Imaginary Authors to create an ice cream topping that will give it a smell! We stopped by the Disney Springs location to check it out.

This should be interesting

The ice cream by itself had a delicious caramel taste, with the ribbon running all the way throughout the ice cream. This is a great one for caramel lovers! But, we know why you’re really here, you wanna know about the perfume! We chose the Cloud of Cocoa perfume for our ice cream and it smells just like walking into a chocolate shop.

The Cast Member told us to smell the ice cream while we were eating it to enhance the experience, and we totally think it did!

The combo of the caramel with the chocolate scent was awesome and unlike anything we’ve experienced! Eating perfume might sound weird, but this was great. We think dessert lovers would really like this unless you’re not a fan of caramel or chocolate.

We recommend!

In total, our ice cream was $6.95. The perfume topping was complimentary, and will be for the rest of July!

And, there are other scents of perfume you can choose from! There are 3 scents in total — “A Cloud of Cocoa” (Ecuadorian chocolate, malted milkshake, and Japanese whisky), “A Plume of Blumes” (honeysuckle and jasmine), and “A Swoon of Citrus” (key lime pie, lychee, and an Italian lemon grove).

You can also buy the perfumes for yourself, with each 65ml bottle costing $65. OR you can get a flight of the 3 scents in 10ml bottles for $48. To buy them online, you have to get on a waitlist!
