See Spaceship Earth’s NEW ‘Beauty and the Beast’-Inspired Look in EPCOT

Today is the first day of EPCOT’s 2022 Food & Wine Festival, and we’ve spent all day trying ALL the eats around the park! We’ve had plenty of sweet treats along the way, and now it’s time for the cherry on top.

EPCOT has been decorated for this festival with photo ops, signs, and banners all around the park. But now Spaceship Earth is getting in on the fun with a NEW look!

Imagineer Zach Riddley announced on Instagram that EPCOT’s iconic Spaceship Earth has a new limited-time look. This miniature show was inspired by Beauty and the Beast — specifically, it’s themed to the “Be Our Guest” song.

The show — including lights and music — begins when it gets dark outside and will likely play several times each night. Riddley mentioned that you should watch for easter eggs that point to the song, like “rising champagne bubbles and the multicolor spotlights from the finale of the song, plus a special tri-color celebration to France, the setting and inspiration of this tale as old as time.”

The music that plays along with this look has been updated with “an EPCOT twist.” You’ll hear the classic tune of “Be Our Guest,” but the lyrics are sung in a blend of English and French words. Fun fact: in French, this song is called “C’est la Fete.”
