Summertime has officially hit Disney World, and it’s getting hot.
Splash Mountain
Luckily, there are tons of ways to cool down, like a ride on Splash Mountain, a spray fan, or even a frozen treat! And during our trip to Magic Kingdom today, we saw an adorable frozen treat that we absolutely had to try! But we have to hurry — the summer heat isn’t doing this treat any favors.
“oooooOOOOOOooo!” That iconic line from the Green Aliens in Toy Story is exactly what we said when we saw the Alien Freeze at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies! This treat costs $6.49 and comes with blue raspberry slush, Dole Whip lime, and sugar eyes! How cute is this thing?!
Alien Freeze
We loved this treat! The lime dole whip has a sharp tartness and acidity, however, it wasn’t sour at all. The blue raspberry slush at the bottom was very sweet, and tasted a lot like a jolly rancher! The two flavors balanced out perfectly, creating a refreshing lime and berry blast. (It kinda tasted like blue cotton candy!)

The only downside to this treat was the sugar eyes. They were pretty big and had a chalky texture. However, this is a topping, so it’s very easy to just set them aside and not eat them.

Of course, the treat also melts super fast. We wouldn’t necessarily count this as a downside though…it just gave us a reason to eat it faster!
