Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!
In honor of mom’s special day, there’s A LOT to do in Disney World! Everything from exclusive treats to post cards that will grow into wildflowers and more is filling the parks and, while many of these are available for at least a few weeks, others are SUPER limited! And, we stopped by EPCOT to try out a new treat that only those who are lucky enough to be visiting TODAY can get their hands on!
Today, Disney released a brand new Mother’s Day Cupcake at Sunshine Seasons over in EPCOT and it’s ONLY available on May 8th! While the name doesn’t give too much away, it’s not one you’ll want to pass — it is a red velvet cupcake with chocolate chip fudge filling and caramel buttercream and costs $6.49.
Aside from being a fun way to give the mom in your life a flower for Mother’s Day (it’s GORGEOUS, right?), it’s also super tasty! We thought that the cupcake was super light, but still packed with a lot of flavor. The red velvet had a rich chocolate taste, and the fudge had a great thick velvety texture that didn’t leave us dealing with a mess when we bit into it.
The whipped buttercream on top was super sweet, but it all evened out with the chocolate chips on the inside of the cupcake, which added a nice bitterness. The only thing we wished is that this cupcake had a little more structure because it didn’t hold up for too long in the heat after we got it.
That being said, if you love chocolate and want a hearty, sweet treat, then this cupcake is for you! Just grab a few extra napkins. 😜
Mom deserves a cupcake today!🧁🌸
Pick it up at Sunshine Seasons in EPCOT for $6.49. A delicious red velvet cupcake with chocolate chip fudge filling and caramel buttercream frosting. She was getting a little melty in this heat, so we suggest enjoying indoors😅 pic.twitter.com/IDnAeggQ3K
