Valentine’s Day is coming up and Disney World is already celebrating!
We’ve seen a bunch of merchandise, like a Dooney & Bourke Collection, a MagicBand, and Minnie Ears, as well as some fun things happening over in Disney Springs for the holiday. We recently found out about all of the food coming to Disney World for Valentine’s Day, and some of it is already out! Come with us to try a new treat over at one of Disney’s fanciest hotels.
Introducing the new Valentine’s Day Chocolate Cherry Blondie Pop!
You can find this treat over at Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
The pop is basically a yellow cake with chocolate chips and cherries baked in that’s then coated in dark chocolate and topped with sprinkles and a white chocolate drizzle.
The cake is moist and the chocolate flavor from the chips really comes through and also gives the the pop a nice crunch.
The cherry flavor is pretty light, unless you get a whole cherry in your bite — then, the flavor is definitely there!
We only got about 3 cherries in our pop, so they were easy to avoid if you don’t like cherries, but it was also enough cherries for someone who likes them.
The whole pop isn’t overly sweet, and even the bites without the cherries carry a little bit of that tart flavor.
The cake is kind of crumbly, so you might want a napkin or a plate if you’re eating this so you don’t drop any pieces. We think the cake could’ve been a little more dense so it would prevent that!
If you’re looking for a little sweet treat and enjoy these flavors, then this is a good option! But, it’s not that big, so if you’re looking for something to really satisfy your sweet tooth, probably opt for a bigger dessert.
If you want to try out this Valentine’s Day treat, you can get it for $5.99 through February 15th! Stay tuned to DFB as we review more of the treats coming to Disney World for the holiday.
