Disney World has a lot to do besides visit its 4 iconic theme parks. You can hang out at Disney Springs, play a round of mini golf, or even enjoy the water parks.
And, after many, many months of waiting, we FINALLY have a reopening date for Disney World’s Typhoon Lagoon water park! It will reopen to guests on January 2nd, 2022, and when it does, there will be some new things to check out!
NEW snacks are coming to Typhoon Lagoon! At Snack Shack, there will be a selection of new DOLE Whip offerings.
There will be two Moana-inspired character cones (including the return of the Hei Hei cone!!!)…
…as well as the opportunity to build your own tropical flavor combination with the choice of DOLE Whip flavors including mango, lime…
…raspberry…
…or the classic pineapple!
And, if you’re 21 or older, you can add some alcohol to your DOLE Whip! Available to be mixed in are tequila, coconut rum, or dark rum. The Snack Shack will also have the Habanero Lime Galley Shack Swirl, which is a new signature cocktail with spicy habanero, sweet mango, and tangy lime flavors!
Typhoon Lagoon will also see the addition of some 50th anniversary snacks! At Snack Shack, you can get Walt’s Chili Nachos, which will have Walt Disney’s beloved chili recipe with house-fried tortillas, cheese, guacamole, shredded lettuce, tomato, onion, sour cream and jalapeño.
Over at Happy Landings, the EARidescent Ice Dream Cone will be available! This is a birthday cake-flavored soft-serve swirl in a white chocolate-dipped cone with EARidescent sprinkles.
At Main Change, you can pick up a Walt Disney World Popcorn Bucket that features iconic Walt Disney World landmarks along with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in their 50th celebration fashions. And, you can grab a 50th Anniversary Refillable Mug, which will be available at all dining locations and features celebratory Disney Water Parks-inspired artwork that pays tribute to “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.”
We can’t wait to check out these new offerings at the water park! Stay tuned to DFB for more Typhoon Lagoon reopening news, info, and updates.
