REVIEW: If You Love Matcha, You’ll Want To Grab The Newest Drink in Disney World!

It’s Disney World’s 50th Anniversary! And the whole resort is celebrating!

We’re celebrating, too, by enjoying the new character cavalcade, two new nighttime shows, a ton of new merchandise, and SO MUCH FOOD. But we’re also drinking some special 50th Anniversary drinks, and well, we’ve found one that just became one of our favorites!

So Joffrey’s has created four different drinks, one for each park, just for the 50th anniversary. Yesterday, we tried the Golden Stardust at EPCOT, and today we’re trying the Golden Savannah at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Joffrey’s Celebratory Sips

It’s a Frozen Matcha Frappe topped with Whipped Cream and EARidescent Green and Gold Sprinkles. And it’s NOT BLUE (we ate and drank a lot of BLUE stuff yesterday). The first thing we noticed about this drink is that it really does fit with Animal Kingdom — the colors are perfect!

Like the Golden Stardust, we found this one very refreshing, too! That’s not always the case with matcha-based drinks, but Joffrey’s nailed it.

Whipped Cream and glittery sprinkles

The Whipped Cream on top just elevated the flavor. It’s classic and creamy and PERFECT. We will note that if you don’t like Matcha, you’ll want to skip this one because it is a very specific flavor.

We’re looking forward to trying Joffrey’s other “Celebratory Sips,” and if they’re anything like the two we’ve already had, we can’t wait! We grabbed this one at the Joffrey’s just outside Animal Kingdom’s entrance for $6.39.
