Disney World is going all out for their 50th Anniversary Celebration! This is no ordinary celebration when it comes to new food and drink items. In fact, Disney is releasing OVER 150 NEW food and drink menu items across the parks and resorts!
We’ve been working on eating a whole bunch of these new items today. Now, our foodie journey has brought us to Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom to try a brand new drink that has arrived just in time for the celebration.
Skipper Canteen has not one, not two, but FIVE new menu items for the 50th Anniversary Celebration! Today, we grabbed just one of the new items — the Adventureland Colada. This drink is made of a blend of Dole Whip Pineapple with Coconut Cream and Passion Fruit. The drink is also garnished with a slice of pineapple.
Overall, the drink definitely delivers on that coconut flavor! If you like piña coladas and that mix of pineapple with coconut, we have a feeling you’ll LOVE this drink. Keep in mind that this particular creation is non-alcoholic, so it’s a good option for those who like the flavors of piña coladas, but don’t want any of the alcohol. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a Dole Whip Pina Colada-type creation in Disney World, but we do like that this one is a good option for those not looking for an alcoholic drink.
The passion fruit also adds another layer of flavor to the drink, making it more interesting. The passion fruit is at the bottom though, so you’ll want to stir it up to really mix it in there!
The drink has a fairly thick consistency though, and the straw we were provided with was fairly small/thin. We think you’d need a bigger straw or even a spoon to really enjoy this one, so consider asking for one while there!
If you like pineapple Dole Whip, but aren’t a fan of coconut, then you might want to pass on this drink. While the pineapple Dole Whip flavor is in there, it is quite heavy on the coconut, so that could be something you won’t enjoy. If you want to try this drink, you can grab it for $9.
Be sure to stick around as we bring you more foodie news from around Disney World!
