Disney World’s 50th Anniversary is starting to take over the parks!
We’ve already seen lots of golden character statues, decorations around the Cinderella Castle, and new transportation overlays. This morning, a LOT of new 50th Anniversary merchandise came to Magic Kingdom at the Emporium gift shop. And some of it looks good enough to eat!
Amongst all the new Minnie ears, pins, plushes, and other celebratory merchandise in the Emporium, we found some pre-packaged snacks with a 50th Anniversary theme. First, there was the 50th Popcorn!
This sweet popcorn is colored to match the EARidescent 50th theme, with bright colors of blue, purple, and pink. It’s closed with a gold ribbon and has the 50th logo on the front. You can get a package of 8 oz for $6.99 at the Emporium.
Plus, in case you missed it — there’s now a new 50th Anniversary popcorn box available in the Magic Kingdom, so what if you ate all the savory popcorn from that and then refilled it with this sweet pre-packaged popcorn for dessert? It’s a 50th popcorn overload!
Also available at the Emporium is the Joffrey’s 50th Anniversary Coffee blend. Joffrey’s is the coffee that you’ll see at stands around the Disney World parks.
This blend is sourced from “the Cerrado region in Brazil, Santa Barbara in Honduras, and the Costa Rican Central Valley.” It has notes of blueberry, black cherry, and a hint of lemon in the dark blend.
This is the perfect blend to use in your Disney mug collection — including the brand-new 50th Anniversary mug we spotted at the Emporium.
You can get a bag of Joffrey’s 50th Anniversary Blend for $13.99 at the Emporium. Last but not least (and certainly not the smallest) is this giant 50th Anniversary lollipop!
This huge treat is a pound and a half of Tutti-Frutti candy, with swirls of pink, blue, and gold.
Seriously, this thing is as big as our faces. How many licks does it take to get to the center of this lollipop? Well, by the time you finish, the year-and-a-half-long 50th Celebrations might be over. The front wrapper is covered with pictures of Disney characters in their 50th Anniversary best.
You can buy this mother-of-all-lollipops at the Emporium for $30. That’s pretty expensive for a lollipop, but it can be your dessert for the next thousand meals you eat, so really it’s just planning ahead. 😉
