Restaurant reopenings are all the rage at Disney World lately!
The Wave…at California Grill
The Wave…of American Flavors is a restaurant normally located in the lobby of the Contemporary, but since it’s undergoing a long refurbishment beginning today, July 16th, they have a new temporary location! You can now find The Wave Breakfast at California Grill in the Contemporary, and we’re giving you a first look at what the Wave looks like in their new spot.
Atmosphere
Since the California Grill is located upstairs in the Contemporary, we first had to check-in downstairs.

Once we got upstairs to the 15th floor, we were able to enjoy the real star of this space — the incredible view. THIS is what you get to look at while you eat breakfast!
That VIEW
The restaurant is bright and lovely, and there are partitions separating the booths.

We can’t say we complained about the view from our table. Can you spot Cinderella Castle?

Once we sat down, it was time to scan the QR code for the menu.

There are a LOT of breakfast options, ranging from big feasts to omelets, to eggs Benedict, avocado toast, and more.

Naturally, we had to try the Refillable Mimosa and the Seasonal Spiked Latte.

We ordered the Wave Feast, which included Eggs Benedict, Scrambled Eggs, Bacon Sausage, a Mickey Waffle, Bacon-Cheddar Grits, Breakfast Potatoes, AND Fresh Fruit.
