We can’t believe it’s finally here! Avengers Campus officially opened in Disney’s California Adventure last week!

We are PUMPED to be here! All of the waiting has paid off and we get to eat the iconic Shawarma at last! There is so much to talk about, but we’re going to focus on one of the cool experiences Avengers Campus has to offer: The Ancient Sanctum! Let’s check it out!

The Ancient Sanctum is a deteriorating mystical structure where you can meet (former) keeper of the Time Stone, Dr. Stephen Strange!

The story behind the sanctum is an interesting one, surrounded by mystery and folklore. For as long as anyone can remember, there were unexplained energies and events coming from a remote location in Southern California.

Can You Feel the Power?

Stark Industries set up a complex in the area in the late 1940s, and many years later, Tony Stark brought Doctor Strange to the site to help his recruits. Once there, Strange revealed the Ancient Sanctum to the universe by removing its cloaking spells!

Now, we get to explore the Ancient Sanctum and learn all about the mystical arts from the Sorcerer Supreme himself! Doctor Strange will teach us the site’s secrets and demonstrate his magical abilities. He starts off the show by coming through a portal. After all, he is just a wizard without a hat, right Captain America?!

Guests can feel the power of the Sanctum…

…as they learn how to perform the Mystic Arts themselves…

The site is also home to the amazing Orb of Cagliostro.

The orb becomes more active at night, so stick around to see its magical energy flowing through the sanctum!
