As things continue to evolve over a year into the pandemic, we’re looking at another update in regard to the Covid-19 vaccine.

We’ve seen a lot of discussion on vaccines and travel lately, with the CDC approving fully vaccinated people to travel, and continued discourse on the possibility of requiring vaccine passports, both at the state and federal level. If you’re still waiting to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, you might end up becoming eligible sooner than you thought.

According to CNN, President Biden is announcing today that he will be moving up his timeline for all adults in the U.S. to become eligible to receive the Covid-19 vaccine. The new expectation is for all adults to be eligible by April 19th, which is a little over a week and a half sooner than his original May 1st deadline.

Yesterday, in line with the goal to beat the May 1st deadline, everyone 18+ in Florida became eligible to receive the vaccine. Additionally, next week on April 15th, California will extend eligibility to everyone 16+.

According to President Biden, the number of pharmacies in the federal vaccine program is also going to increase, to up to 40,000. Soon, in addition to being eligible, all adults will also have a vaccine site within five miles of them.

At least these make for a cute accessory!

While even those who have been fully vaccinated will still be required to wear masks and socially distance themselves on Disney property, the CDC has released new guidance for vaccinated individuals in regard to travel and small gatherings.
