Here at DFB, we’re ALL about drink hacks.

We’ve found secret menu drinks, tried exclusive sips, and even thrown it back with a drink that hasn’t been in the parks for over 20 YEARS! But today, we wanted to test our creativity, so we headed over to Barefoot Pool Bar at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to concoct a drink of our own.

Okay, to say we invented it on our own is a bit of a stretch. We came up with the concept — a Spiked Kakamora — and the AMAZING Cast Member did the rest. The end result? A mix of Parrot Bay coconut rum, pineapple juice, piña colada mix, and blue curaçao. And it looks SO GOOD!

One thing this sip DOESN’T have is Dole Whip — that’s a major difference from the original Kakamora Float. But don’t worry! It tastes exactly like our tropical inspiration, but with an extra boost of coconut from that flavored rum. That coconut flavor is one of our favorite parts of the Kakamora Float, so the more the merrier!

Aside from the coconut notes, we got some great sweetness from the pineapple juice! The blue curaçao also added an extra kick. Mixed all together, this was SO tropical and refreshing — we wanted to sit on a beach and enjoy it ALL day. And have we mentioned those gorgeous colors?!
