So far, we’ve seen some trailers for the film, TONS of merchandise for the movie has been released, we’ve taken a look at when you’ll be able to see it for free on Disney+, and we’ve already shared that the movie is available for pre-order. But, now Disney has announced 2 NEW experiences coming to Disney World to celebrate this movie!
If you’re heading to Disney World soon, you’ll want to stop by Disney’s Animal Kingdom for these 2 BRAND NEW experiences celebrating Raya and the Last Dragon.
First, starting on February 22nd, 2021, you’ll be able to draw new characters from Raya at The Animation Experience at Conservation Station.

Animation Experience
One of the characters you might get the chance to draw is Raya’s faithful companion Tuk Tuk. Tuk Tuk is actually part-pill bug, part-pug, and part-high speed off-road vehicle. But, he’s 100% adorable and fun! As part of the Animation Experience, you’ll also get to get a behind-the-scenes peek at the inspiration for Tuk Tuk as shared by Kelly Marie Tran (voice of Raya) and Awkwafina (voice of Sisu).

Aside from the Animation Experience, guests will also be able to celebrate the release of Raya and the Last Dragon at the Discovery Island Stage in Animal Kingdom. On that stage, artists will actually be working on a 40-ton sand sculpture featuring Raya, Tuk Tuk, Sisu the last dragon and the Ongi in the fantasy world of Kumandra.

It will take a team of 2 artists over 24 hours(!!) to build and carve this display entirely out of sand. You’ll be able to actually see the artists at work from February 19th, 2021 through February 21st, 2021. The sand carving will also be on display for a limited time through the end of March.

So, if you’ll be heading to Disney World soon, be sure to check out these two new experiences. We’ll keep an eye out for more Disney news and let you know what we find!
