It’s Disney Investor Day and we’re learning so much about Disney’s upcoming plans for entertainment. SO MUCH.

So far, we’ve learned about some new animated movies, a few live-action films, a lot of shows, and more!

Well, buckle up, because there’s even more news for you — this time on the Guardians of the Galaxy front! Our favorite team of galactic outcasts is getting a Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special! And director James Gunn is set to direct! Fans can expect to see it on Disney+ in 2022.

But wait, there’s more! Because our favorite little tree, Baby Groot, also has some news to share! He’s getting a series of shorts on Disney+ “featuring several new and unusual characters.” We are intrigued. Move over, Baby Yoda, there’s a new baby in town! 😉 The series will be called I Am Groot, of course.
