It’s a beautiful and sunny — yet chilly — day in EPCOT!

That’s pretty much in keeping with the weather forecast for much of this week. So we were pleasantly surprised to spot the sign for a Canadian Hot Toddy at the Canada Popcorn Cart this afternoon.
We noticed the sign propped up right in front of — what else? — the big batch of Maple Popcorn that you can snack on here in the Canada pavilion!

The Canadian Hot Toddy features Maple Crown Royal. It’s mixed with breakfast tea and maple syrup to add some sweetness in place of a more traditional honey.

The size of the drink is terrific, first of all, and it comes complete with a nice sprinkling of nutmeg for some festive spice. You can definitely feel the warmth from the whiskey in the strength of the pour.
As you might anticipate from the ingredients, this one is for the maple fans out there! But, even more, it’s for another kind of drink fan…
Canadian Hot Toddy
We’re looking at YOU, TEA drinkers! The taste of the tea is quite pronounced; so much so, that we would recommend this for tea fans above all. If you don’t care for tea, you may find it to have something of an odd aftertaste. But if tea’s your thing? It’s made for you!
By the way, if you do like the sound of this one, you may want to know it’s not the only Tea Toddy in town…

The Canadian Hot Toddy is $12.00. Last year they served up a Hot Toddy here over Christmas weekend. But since the cooler temps have arrived a little early, it seems the warm beverages are following suit. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more ways to warm up around Walt Disney World this week!
