Review: This Fan-Favorite Snack Is Being Served Up in a Unique Way in Disney World!

Earlier today, we snacked on the truly surprising Fall Flavors Cupcake at Gasparilla Island Grill.

But it wasn’t the only item we tried at this counter service spot in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Because we simply couldn’t resist grabbing a treat inspired by a favorite park snack… the CHURRO!

That’s right! Just last week, our friends at Gasparilla started serving up a Churro Éclair… which, we were informed, is a returning treat that’s back by popular demand.

The Churro Éclair takes that classic éclair pastry, and fills it with a cinnamon mousse for a flavor that resembles that famous fried dough rolled in cinnamon and sugar! This snack-within-a-snack is all topped with white chocolate.

Now, we should note: the Churro Éclair is officially described as having “crunchy churro pieces,” but if they were present, the churro bits were super tiny, as we pretty much just picked up on the cinnamon mousse in the texture.

But if you like LOTS OF CINNAMON, then this is the snack for you! Seriously, it’s for cinnamon fans only. There is no shortage of the spice in the cinnamon mousse.

The éclair itself (served split, as opposed to wrapping the filling) was nice, fresh, and light… so much so, in fact, that we were almost worried it wasn’t going to be able to withstand the generous amount of filling.

Ultimately, though, it did the job!

The Churro Éclair is $5.49. Of the two new snacks we tried, our preference falls with the Fall Flavors Cupcake, and you can find out why here!
