There has been a LOT happening Florida recently!
As theme parks talk about what health and safety precautions will need to be in place before they re-open, other business have started to welcome guests back inside their doors.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Florida barbershops and salons will be opening tomorrow with heath and safety guidelines in place.
Governor Ron DeSantis has stated that guests must have appointments before visiting barbershops and salons. Locations have to leave 15 minutes between each appointment to sanitize the area. Barbers and hair stylists will be required to wear masks, but not gloves, and guests won’t have to wear either. However, they are encouraged to do so, and businesses could offer them to their customers.
According to guidelines, “barbershops and salons should remove all unnecessary, frequent-touch items, such as magazines, newspapers, service menus, and any other unnecessary paper products and décor from customer service areas.” Unlike restaurants, there won’t be restrictions on operating hours or the amount of customers, but people won’t be allowed in the waiting rooms.
This news comes after Disney Springs has started to re-open some of its own third-party stores and restaurants. We previously reported that Governor DeSantis’ plans for the state’s re-opening will be “data driven” and responsive. He plans to monitor the numbers as businesses like barbershops open in the coming days and weeks. We’ll keep you updated with more information!
