Disneyland Paris began its temporary closure on Saturday, March 14th due to concerns over the Coronavirus.
Over the past few days, Disney has shared how Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort — where all parks are also temporarily closed — have donated excess food inventory to Second Bank Food Harvest for distribution to those in need. And now Disney shares how Disneyland Paris has donated its excess inventory.
Disneyland Paris has donated 15 tons of excess food to local and national associations including Secours Populaire Français and Restaurants du Cœur. The Resort’s cast members aided in the efforts of identifying, collecting, and redistributing fresh goods like salads, fruit, dairy and more so food could be quickly donated.
Disney also notes that: “This is just one example of Disneyland Paris’ longstanding commitment to reduce food waste and support those in need. We take steps throughout the year to raise awareness and engage our guests and cast members, including placing information signs in buffet restaurants and collecting organic food waste from meal preparation in all of our restaurants.”

We here at DFB have been tracking the steps that Disney has taken around the parks to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. You can learn more about that here.
