We were in need of a port from the storm of the holiday crowds at Disneyland during the Christmas festivities, so we decided to swing on by Harbour Galley to sample some of their seasonal offerings!

Harbour Galley is located across from the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square in case you’ve never sailed your way there! And today we’re tasting the two returning Christmas menu items from last year that have just arrived in port — the Holiday Pozole and Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew!

First, we’re getting ready to dive into the Holiday Pozole for $11.49! This vegan stew is made with slow-roasted tomatillos, hominy, and serrano chilies! It’s served with limes, radishes, shreds of cabbage and a side crunchy tortilla chips.

Our soup was seasoned perfectly and the roasted serrano chilies added just the right amount of heat, without being too spicy. It’s a very light stew, so having tortilla chips on the side helped bulk up the meal a bit, and brought the dish full circle for us. The squeeze of fresh lime over the top provided a nice bit of acid to this soup.

We also sampled Harbor Galley’s Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew for $5.99. Sad to say this one wasn’t a big hit with us. The “pumpkin spice” flavor was pretty much non-existent and the coffee was strangely bitter. We’re hoping we just caught a bad batch! This sure looked like it would be a smash hit with us.

You’ll be much better off going to one of the Disneyland Resort’s Starbucks locations and getting a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew made with actual pumpkin purée instead — we’re SERIOUSLY addicted to it!
